SB 1064 -- COURT COSTS

SPONSOR:  Scott (Cunningham, 145)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Judiciary
by a vote of 16 to 0.

This bill eliminates the expiration date of Section 488.2205,
RSMo, which allows for the collection and distribution of certain
court costs in the 30th judicial circuit.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill allows for the
continuation of the collection of a $10 court fee to pay for the
juvenile center in Bolivar.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Scott.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
